Atlanta CTO Club

Collaborating to expand and revolutionize the Atlanta tech landscape

Our Mission

The Atlanta CTO Club is an independent, not-for-profit, invitation-only group of Atlanta's most innovative technologists. Our mission is to make Atlanta a better place for technology-intensive companies by sharing our expertise and experience. We meet monthly to connect, share, collaborate, and solve.

Members

Since 2017, more than 50 Atlanta-area CTOs and VP of Engineering have joined the club, including leaders from top local companies such as Salesloft, MailChimp, FullStory, Greenlight, PlayOn Sports, RoadSync, Hermeus, GreenSky, and others.   Membership is by invitation and referral only. Our members are senior leaders (typically CTO or VP of Engineering) building technology products at funded companies. No recruiters, vendors, or sales pitches — just peers.

Events

At Atlanta CTO events, we talk openly about what’s working and what isn’t. Whether it's hiring, scaling, architecture, or the latest technology, this is a space where leaders can ask honest questions and share real solutions.

The price of membership is active participation, both in our monthly breakfasts (on the 3rd Friday of the month from 7:30-9:30am at locations around Atlanta) and in our Slack community.

Global Network

We are associated with CTO Clubs in New York, San Francisco, Boston, Los Angeles, DC, Austin, and other cities, reaching thousands of CTOs around the world.

Apply to join the Atlanta CTO Club

Join a curated group of 50+ Atlanta-area CTOs and senior engineering leaders — and tap into a global community of 1,000+ peers. Learn from others, share your experiences, and help shape the future of our local tech ecosystem. To ensure the quality and relevance of the group, all new members must meet the following criteria:

1. Role & Responsibility

  • Must hold a senior technical leadership role (e.g., CTO, VP of Engineering, Head of Engineering) or technical product leadership position (e.g. CPO)

  • The title is flexible, but the member must be one of the most senior leaders responsible for building their company’s technology product.

  • Must be working full-time in this capacity.

  • Must be deeply involved in technical decision-making and lead engineering or cross-functional product/engineering teams.

  • Must be actively involved in architectural or technical decision-making, not just product strategy or people management.

2. Team Size

  • Must have a minimum of 5 engineers directly or indirectly reporting to them.

  • In most cases, members lead teams of 10 or more engineers.

3. Company Profile

  • Must work at a company that is actively building and maintaining its own software or hardware product.

  • The company does not need to be a pure software or hardware business — it may operate in another primary industry (e.g., retail, logistics, food service) as long as it has a dedicated product and engineering function building meaningful technology.

  • The company should be well-funded through venture capital, private equity, or substantial internal investment.

Note: If you work for a company that is providing consulting services or sells to technical leaders, you can join by becoming a sponsor. Please contact us for details.
